Join the Houston Symphony at Miller Outdoor Theatre for Lunada, presented by the Mexican Institute of Greater Houston, which celebrates a night under the full moon. This annual cultural event is reminiscent of those held in small towns and pueblos in Mexico, where community members come together to share music, poetry, and stories.

The program includes Eleanor Alberga’s Ride Through for solo cello; Kinen Azmeh’s It’s About Time for solo harp; Sky McKlay’s The Braid for clarinet, cello, and percussion; Joseph Pereira’s Aldebaran for amplified harp and thunder sheet; and Olly Wilson’s Echoes for clarinet and electronics.

Join the Houston Youth Harp Ensemble for their winter concert, featuring whimsical selections from imaginary lands. You’ll hear selections from Harry Potter and Beauty and the Beast, in addition to originals such as Julia Kay Jamieson’s Between My Balloon and the Moon. This concert will be presented at the beautiful Archway Gallery.
We are so excited to hold the HYHE’s spring performance in the beautiful Live Oak Friends Meeting House. This semester we’ve been exploring music from around the world. This concert features music from Mexico, Ireland, Cuba, England, Japan, and the United States.
